The group represents ZPPA, which has been active in Chicago, IL since 1929. ZPPA has over 20 highlander ensembles, with members ranging in age from 3 to seniors. They are children and young people born and raised in the USA. From the very beginning, the main goal of the ensembles has been to cultivate and refine dance, singing, dialect, and music. We take the traditions of our ancestors very seriously, so we present the authentic style of Podhale dance and singing. This group in particular was selected to represent ZPPA at the “SWIETO DZIECI GOR” festival in Nowy Sacz, Poland, in July of 2025. They are all born and raised in America and ranging from ages 7-14.
